WOLFE ISLAND

Rachel and I went to Wolfe Island yesterday. Its cold these days and the ferry ride over was freezing. Luckily on the way back we found the indoor seating area.
3:45 – Wait in lobby for ferry
4:00 – Board ferry
4:30 – Disembark ferry
4:30 – 4:45 Wander street looking for something to do and in the process get mooned by a 13 year old travelling in a horse drawn wagon
4:45 – Ask local store owner about the pubs in the area
4:50 – Order drinks at local pub
5:20 – Leave pub for return ferry
5:30 – Board ferry
6:00 – Arrive back in Kingston

It's pretty nice to get out onto the open water of lake Ontario. Apparently the ferry can run year round due to an underground pipe that releases tiny bubbles to the surface and prevents ice from forming. If the intensity of these bubbles was turned up then in theory the Wolfe Island ferry could be sunk. Seems like a good plot for a Kingston action thriller, “Hand over Rembrandt from the Art Centre or I’ll sink the Wolfe Island ferry”.

HALLOWEEN

A classmate organized an informal pub crawl of Kingston’s finest establishments on Tuesday. We started so early that people were still enjoying dinner as our motley crowd showed up. Some pretty good and funny costumes. Vampires were popular as well as matrix themed characters. For all those who know Kingston here were the bars we visited:
-Grizzly Grill;
-Philthy McNasties;
-MYBAR; and
-Elixir

Here are some photos from the night. Who can name what High School I went to?
