EXAMS

It's exam time now and yet I seem to be still stuck in spreadsheets. I've spent the afternoon taking the seasonality out of data. Two more to go until summer sets in.

Drive-In Pirates

I went to my first drive in this weekend. After waiting in a mosquito infested line-up for about 20 minutes to buy some popcorn and coke the power went out and was left without. Apparently to get the movie going the power in the shack had to be turned off and when it was turned back on the fountain machines did not come back with it. So I returned to the car thirsty.

The car was not running and it was a typical hot and humid night so I rolled my window down to the delight of a swarm of mosquitoes that immediately entered the car and began feasting on my (already thirsty) body.

The movie was Pirated of the Caribbean – Dead man chest. It was alright but I don’t like movies that set up a sequel, closure is better. They filmed part of the third while making the first so in the end they’ll be very similar. The night before I saw Johnny Depp in Libertine, which wasn’t that much of a departure from his character in Pirates. Either he’s a loveable jerk or he’s being typecast that way.

LAST WEEKEND

It’s been very busy this week and I’ve yet to post any pictures from the wedding last weekend. It was a very nice wedding and I was really happy to see two friends of mine get married. It was fun to see so many old friends who will never let me live down anything I did in their presence. I also thought that the MC did a wonderfull job but could have been a little funnier. Here’s a picture of the lovely bride and groom.

The wedding itself was in Kananaskis Country. I've been away from Calgary for 4 years now but every time I get back to the Rockies I love them. For soem reason it's always sunny in the Rockies.

Rachel met me in Calgary and attended the Wedding too. After meeting some of the boys in Calgary the next day we set off for Kingston. So now I can say that the best part of Vancouver is now here with me in Kingston.
